The only negative is the attitude , knowledge & people skills of the reception staff( a senior member of staff was just pretty offhand) The triage nurse was efficient & polite and friendly. The wait in A & E was short in comparison withMaidstone due to excellent communication by the locum who saw me at 11.00 that morning with the hospital. (i had a suspected appendicitis). The doctors who took blood & examined me were both excellent (polite friendly hepful & courteous) special mention for Norman Ali what a gentleman, his whole attitude was great. Its just a pity the NHS can be let down by the quality of some of the reception staff who think that they are superior & talk down to their customers.( I suggest that more should be done to get people to reviw the reception staff only as they really are the front line face of the NHS. When I was working our reception staff were highly trained /paid and were a real asset to the company.

We cannot fault the car and attention we have been given. Everyone has gone above and beyond and we are extremely grateful.

Overall a great service. Delivery suite is to a high standard, along with the one to one midwife care. Postnatally, lovely private room to ourselves. Majority of midwives friendly and helpful. Reliable if you need anything and easy to call them via bell. Doctors were prompt and helpful when making decisions. I felt very involved and in control of the care I was receiving from the doctors. Would recommend and definitely return in the future!

I was referred to SAU by my GP after she spoke to one of the surgical team. On arrival I was assessed by the nursing and surgical teams. I was given iv antibiotics and the proposed treatment pathway was clearly explained to me. I was given options about the timing of the surgery and opted to have it done that evening if possible. I was transferred to SSU and stayed there overnight after my procedure. I was reviewed by a surgeon in the morning and discharged home with antibiotics, after having my dressing checked and changed. The care and attention I received was excellent and all the staff I came into contact with were professional, respectful (particularly of my dignity) and caring. I cannot thank them enough and they should be very proud of what they do and the service they provide.

Very quick response from ambulance services.. midwives on delivery very helpful with great advice. Once out of bed to toilet change of bedding done very quickly great team to help bring our baby into the world
